Joe'l Ludovich

 

Joe'l Ludovich is a three-time Emmy nominated producer and winner of several Telly and Communicator awards for Philly LIVE, a nightly live call-in talk program on WYBE Public Television, in which she was one of the original producers who launched the show. Philly LIVE also received a Pennsylvania Broadcaster’s award as well as a Mid-Atlantic Emmy nomination in 2001 for “Best Talk Show Series.” From it’s inception in 1999, Joe’l worked as producer, then, as senior producer from 2001-2002.

Her independent film credits include "The UnBirth", a short 16mm B&W film, has been screened in NY, LA, San Francisco and Philadelphia. It was winner of the "Best of Film to Tape", at CAL ARTS and an Audience Choice award at The Albany International Film Festival. "Cradle", an experimental dance video which Ludovich was director of photography, co-producer and co-director, has been screened at the Philadelphia Film Festival (2003), Lady Fest Philly (2003), and Motion Pictures I (2003), a dance on film program, and at the Prince Music Theatre and this year at WomynFest's 10th Anniversary in March 2009. Her MFA thesis project "From the Top: The Making of Quiescence" screened at Motion Pictures II in 2004. In 2008, her documentary "The Man with the Magic Hands," was recognized with two Telly awards. In 2010, “The Brian Dennis Project” will be screened at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival. For the past two years she has been a juror for Qfest, Philadelphia’s LGBT’s film festival. She has also been a camera operator for CNN and a field producer and camera operator for Globalvision and In the Life Media, both in New York. She currently teaches in the Communication program at  Stockton University.
